I have a new blog!

I started a second blog. Which is quite possibly the most stupid thing to do, as I can't even post regularly on this one! But http://gigglethings.blogspot.co.nz/ is going to be much easier because it's just putting up pictures of things I find funny. No promises that you'll find them equally funny though - I have a unique sense of humour!

My 2nd Laparoscopy

I warn you now, if you find things like "bowel" or "incisions" squirm-inducing, then read no further!!

Ok, so I had my second laparoscopy yesterday morning. They were looking for endometriosis as I've been having cyclical troubles with my tummy. I had my doubts as I'm sure they would've seen endo when they were in there last time removing the cyst (or the time before when Zoe was born by c-sec). However, this was a necessary step in the process.

I went under at about 8:15am and it was only supposed to be an hour or so, but I ended up under for about 2.5 hours. Apparently my bowel was well and truly stuck onto my left ovary, tube and uterus side. My ob/gyn surgeon called on a bowel expert to help (which is why it took longer I guess) and it's been pulled away as best they can. They left some fluid in there to try and keep it from "sticking" again. But according to my surgeon, it didn't look like classic endometriosis making it stick.
I woke up very, very groggy and unwell which that there was no way I was going to be able to go home the same day.

Had a rough night, but was feeling much better by morning.
Basically I don't know any more than I did beforehand, but at least hopefully I'll have some relief for a while!

So, I have to go back in about 3 months time to see if it's made any difference. If not then it might mean another surgery. If that's the case then I'll be asking that they just remove my left ovary and be done with it. It will save a lot of hassle!

Here is my current concoction of pills! I feel like I rattle when I walk!!

And just one shot of my poor, misshapen belly button (pic is actually upside down). I fear it will never recover! It looked funny enough after the first one, but now! Well, it's swollen, bruised and stitched so it may improve...
